Volta Catalunya: Rohan Dennis gana la crono en Banyoles

Rohan Dennis (Ineos Grenadiers) ha vencido en la segunda etapa de la Volta Ciclista a Catalunya(2.UWT), una contrarreloj individual de 18,5 en Banyoles.

El australiano ha sido más rápido que Rémi Cavagna –el australiano y el francés han marcado la diferencia– y Joao Almeida, ambos del Deceuninck-Quickstep. El portugués es el nuevo líder, con el mismo tiempo que McNulty (UAE), mientras que Luis León Sánchez (Astana-Premier Tech) es tercero a tres segundos. El Ineos Grenadiers sitúa a Porte quinto, Adam Yates sexto y Thomas octavo, con Steven Kruijswuik cuarto, y el equipo británico se erige como el rival a batir.

El miércoles se disputa la tercera etapa, 203 kilómetros desde el Canal Olimpic de Catalunya hasta Vallter 2000, una ascensión final de 11,4 kilómetros al 7,5%.
