Tour Noruega: Edu Prades (Euskadi-Murias) se lleva la general

Eduard Prades (Euskadi-Murias) ha logrado un valioso triunfo en la general final del Tour of Norway (2.HC, Noruega) después de una gran última etapa donde ha sido segundo tras el danés Alexander Kamp (Virty Cycling), logrando la suficiente diferencia para alzarse con el triunfo final.

La etapa final de la carrera noruega constaba de 154 kilómetros entre Moelv y Lillehammer que empezaba con el triple vencedor de etapa Dylan Groenewegen (LottoNL-Jumbo) de líder, mientras Prades era décimo a 32 segundos del liderato. El recorrido quebrado, con tres puertos puntuables y uno último, Kanthaugen (2,5km a más del 9% de pendiente), situado en los últimos 20 kilómetros, prometía batalla.

Los intentos de fuga han sido constantes, con especial protagonismo para Nicholas Schultz (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA) y diversos corredores del siempre combativo Euskadi-Murias. Finalmente, el corte bueno se ha hecho en el último puerto donde Prades se ha marchado junto a Alexander Kamp (Virty Cycling) y Carl Fredrik Hagen (Joker-Icopal) en busca de la general.

El catalán finalmente ha llegado fugado a meta junto al vencedor de etapa Kamp, y con la distancia suficiente para sumar por ella la primera victoria de su brillante temporada donde ya había sido segundo en la general de todo un Tour of Yorkshire tras Van Avermaet, además de lograr el tercer triunfo de la temporada del equipo Euskadi-Murias poco después de las etapas de Jon Aberasturi y Mikel Bizkarra en la Vuelta a Aragón.

También Alex Aranburu (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA) ha cerrado su gran semana con una destacada quinta plaza en la general final, mientras que Aritz Bagües (Euskadi-Murias) ha sido el tercer español en el top10 final con una gran 9ª posición. Además, el equipo Caja Rural-Seguros RGA se ha llevado la victoria por equipos, redondeando así unos grandes cinco días para el ciclismo español.
