Flecha Brabantse: Espectacular Van der Poel

Mathieu Van der Poel ha ganado la Flecha de Brabantse, primera de las clásicas de las Ardenas. El neerlandés se ha impuesto sobre Julian Alaphilippe en un sprint a cuatro.

El primer ataque serio, a 30 de meta y dentro de los dos últimos giros, ha llegado por parte de Daryl Impey, pero todavía no se había dicho la última palabra entre los favoritos. Ya dentro de la última vuelta, Alaphilippe ha lanzado el primer órdago.

Wellens ha sido el primero en responder, casi ‘ipso facto’. Y detrás han salido Matthews y Van der Poel, que luego han contactado con los dos de cabeza. Juntos han rodado hasta el momento decisivo de la carrera, en que de nuevo Alaphilippe ha tratado de romper el grupo en la penúltima cota.

Rápido se le ha pegado Van der Poel, con Wellens y Matthews algo más atrancados y con problemas para poder entrar. Finalmente se han vuelto a juntar los cuatro. Pero en el sprint, ninguno ha sido capaz de sobrepasar al neerlandés, que ha ganado con más de una bici de ventaja.
