Etoile Bessèges: Alexys Brunel estrena su palmarés

Alexys Brunel (1998, Groupama – FDJ) ha ganado la primera etapa de la Etoile de Bessèges (2.1, Francia), de 141,1 kilómetros con salida y llegada a Bellegarde. Así, el francés también es el líder de la carrera.

Ibon Ruiz (Kern Pharma), De Vylder (Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise) y Aurignac (Cambodia Cycling Academy) han formado la fuga del día, que ha sido neutralizada debido a la tensión provocada por el viento en el pelotón.

Precisamente los abanicos dejaban un pelotón de unas 20 unidades antes del doble paso por la Cote de la Tour (1 km al 4,1%), donde estaba situada la meta. En el tramo final, el neoprofesional Alexys Brunel (Groupama-FDJ) era el más fuerte sorprendiendo con un ataque en solitario a 4 kilómetros de meta. Benoît Cosnefroy (AG2R La Mondiale), que venía de ganar el GP Marseillaise el pasado domingo, fue segundo.

La carrera se debe decidir en la llegada a Le Mont Bouquet, el sábado, y la contrarreloj individual de 10,7 kilómetros del domingo.

Los equipos en liza son 20, con siete del WorldTour, ocho ProTeams y cinco Continentales, el Kern Pharma entre ellos, con Roger Adriá, Francisco Galván, Martí Márquez, Martín Bouzas, Daniel Méndez, Ibon Ruiz y Sergio Tu.
