BinckBank Tour: Matthews logra la última; Mohoric aguanta (Vídeo)

Michael Matthews se ha llevado la etapa final del BinckBank Tour, con línea de meta a mitad del Kapelmuur tras dos pasos por el propio muro, por delante de Van Avermaet.

Por su parte, Matej Mohoric ha podido aguantar el maillot de líder y se proclama vencedor de la general gracias a la fuga de la cuarta etapa donde, pese a verse sorprendido por Taco Van der Hoorn, se puso como líder y ha logrado aguantar hasta el final, consiguiendo así su primera vuelta por etapas de categoría WorldTour.

Y eso que el esloveno parecía eliminado en varias ocasiones en el tramo final de la carrera, sobre todo cuando los clasicómanos tensaban la cuerda en los muros finales. Sin embargo, el colchón de medio minuto que tenía al comenzar la etapa de hoy le ha valido. Finalmente ha podido retener la carrera por cinco segundos con Matthews.

Éste, no obstante, a jugador a ganador y eso le ha valido la recompensa de la etapa. Su ataque en la base del último muro -el Kapelmuur, pero hasta la mitad- no ha tenido respuesta por parte del resto. Oliver Naesen, que parecía el más fuerte durante el último tercio de la etapa, ha acusado el gasto excesivo de fuerzas, y tampoco Van Avermaet ha podido con el australiano, si bien ha sido el único capaz de responderle al menos.
