BinckBank Tour: Hodeg estropea el póker de Bennett (Vídeo)

El colombiano Álvaro José Hodeg (1996, Deceuninck – Quick Step) se ha impuesto en la quinta etapa del BinckBank Tour (2.UWT), de 191,4 kilómetros llanos entre Riemst y Venray. Tim Wellens (1991, Lotto Soudal) sigue líder.

La primera escapada del día, que no fructificó, la componían 6 corredores: Carlos Verona (Movistar Team), Roy Curvers (Team Sunweb), Moreno Hofland (EF Education First), Senne Leysen (Roompot Charles), Thomas Sprengers (Sport Vlaanderen – Baloise) y Baptiste Planckaert (Wallonie-Bruxelles).

Finalmente, la fuga buena la formaron Robert Stannard (Mitchelton Scott), Oscar Riesebeek (Roompot Charles), Jasha Sütterlin (Movistar Team) y Willie Smit (Katusha Alpecin).

Pero el pelotón impuso su ley y la etapa se ha resuelto al sprint, donde Hodeg ha sido el más veloz, ganando la etapa con solvencia, por delante del hasta ahora dominador de los sprints, Sam Bennett.

El viernes, toca contrarreloj de 8,4 kilómetros en Den Haag, que será decisiva para los hombres de la clasificación general.
