Arctic Race: Joyce gana la segunda y Van der Poel cede (Vídeo)

El Rally Cycling norteamericano ha pescado en el Ártico. El norteamericano Collin Joyce se lleva la segunda etapa de la Arctic Race, un día realmente exigente.

La carrera ha llegado completamente rota a la línea de meta, con un trío que se ha quedado por delante formado por Fuglsang, Chernetskii -ambos de Astana- y Bettiol (BMC). Por detrás se conformaba un grupo de una decena de corredores mientras el líder Mathieu Van der Poel se quedaba cortado en el pelotón.

Finalmente, con los BMC siendo mayoría entre esos 10 perseguidores, la pareja de Astana no ha podido llegar a meta en el incomodísimo y exigente terreno de camino a Kjollefjord, todo eso mientras el líder llegaba a perder prácticamente dos minutos con la cabeza. Cuando se ha producido la fusión de los 13, los kilómetros finales básicamente consistieron en una lucha sin cuartel. Todos contra todos.

En el sprint final entre esos diez corredores, Van Windem (Israel CA) ha lanzado el primero la llegada, aunque por la trayectoria contraria Joyce ha podido con él en un sprint largo y agónico. Van der Poel ha entrado a algo más de un minuto.
