Enorme victoria de etapa de Fernando Barceló en el Tour del Porvenir, en un día donde ha sido el claro protagonista atacando de lejos.
Barceló ha saltado del pelotón a más de 50 kilómetros de meta y se ha juntado en cabeza con Peak (Centro Mundial de Ciclismo) para llegar a tener minuto y medio sobre el resto de favoritos. Distancia que, ya en solitario, ha logrado mantener con firmeza.
El propio líder Pogacar en primera persona ha respondido a 17 de meta y, pese a acercarse a menos de 15 segundos, no ha podido culminar la persecución. El esloveno, además, estaba ya sin compañeros cuando todavía faltaban 70 kilómetros para la llegada.
Lo que sí ha hecho es distanciar aún más a Iván Sosa, que hoy no ha tenido su mejor día y se ha dejado un minuto con el esloveno, tercero en meta tras Michel Ríes. Barceló por su parte entra en el Top10 de la general ya que varios ciclistas de la zona alta -McNulty o Baptistella entre otros- han perdido mucho tiempo.
